Growth Mindset Week 8

I chose this image first because I like what the message of it is. I completely agree that each and every new experience we encounter shapes our mind to what it is today. Once you learn something new, your mind changes because of this knowledge and you start to see things a little differently. It's kind of like when you get a new car, and all of the sudden you start seeing that car everywhere you go. The cars have always been out on the road, but you never noticed them until you gained some knowledge of that car. I like the idea of new experiences "stretching" your mind, because experiences definitely do help your mind grow, and once you are enlightened with this knowledge you cannot go back to the ignorance of not having that knowledge.

This image first grabbed my attention because of how funny it was, seeing a cat playing poker is a real attention grabber. Then I read the words and liked it even more. In a society where people often like to complain about how they did not get dealt a good hand in life, I think it is important to remember that it is just a starting point. You can turn a 7-2 off-suit into a pretty good hand if you play your cards right. The fact of life is that some people are dealt four aces, while some aren't, and it isn't the fault of either of them. You may not start off so well, but if you put in some hard work and dedication, and don't let the bad cards get you down, you can really come a long way.
