Weekly Review: Too Much Work, Not Enough Time!

I kind of slacked on my reading this week, however I was able to complete the reading of John Muir's  The Mountains of California, and I think it was my favorite reading so far in this class. The way that Muir describes the landscape of California, the Sierra Nevadas, and Yosemite with such accuracy is amazing. I also loved his thoughts on how it was the light snow flakes packed together by the billions during the glacial period, and their eventual melting, that created the mountains and valleys that we enjoy the beauty of today. This reading was definitely a good one.

I am doing alright in my other classes, but I have struggled a bit the last couple of weeks with getting all of my work done because I have been so busy at work. Long commutes and overtime has left me with really only the weekends to work on school, and that makes this class especially difficult, since we have work due during the week as well. I hope that work slows down a little bit so that I can catch up and maybe get ahead as much as I can in my classes. I'm going to try a little harder to get ahead, especially on my reading and analysis submissions for this class so I don't keep missing the assignments. All in all this semester is going pretty well, and I think it will end up good at the end, I've just hit a little rough patch.

I am a little disappointed that I did not have the time to complete my project submission in particular because I have been reading so many great submissions this week. Our next project will definitely get done by me, and I will have to make it a good one to make up for my missing one this time, I look forward to completing the next project and exploring some cool ideas in our reading.

  1. Hello Anthony,

Yes, I definitely agree, I was doing good on submitting my assignment on time but of course, life circumstances happened. We have other responsibilities, and the worst getting sick and family getting sick. What lessoned i have learned that i just need to try to be ahead of at least two assignment for any future problem ahead.

    Thank you
    Ginalyn
