Week 16 Weekly Review: Almost There!

I am so glad that this semester is almost over. It has been extremely difficult for me to stay up on all of my assignments this semester between family, work, and other personal things going on getting in the way. My grades are not terrible, but they are definitely not where I would like them to be. If everything goes right next week I will barely squeak out an A in this class, which is really good, but my other classes are looking more like B's. I guess I shouldn't be too upset with that since I am working full time and commuting 4+ hours a day, and trying to spend as much time with my family as I can, however I can't help but to feel like I could have done better. I am just glad there is only another week of stress and then I can take a well-deserved summer off until the craziness starts again. I really enjoyed the readings this week, and I haven't even gotten to my extra credit reading yet. Both of these readings were good for different reasons. Casa was cool because it was from the point of view of a house, which I don't think I have ever read anything like before. Golden State was a very emotional work, and hit home with me because of my own relationship with my father. My work in my other classes is going alright, and I am just trying to finish up this semester strong. I hope everyone finishes off well and has a good summer!

  1. Hi Anthony,
I can definitely sympathized about your situation. We have to work, commute, do our assignment and take care of our family. But we are almost there and we can see our fruit of our labor.
I enjoy all the reading from this class. It opened my mind to the beauty of California and stories of different culture. I was amazed that different authors tell stories about the significance of California to their lives and others.

    Good luck to us.

    Thank you
